Description
"The tall figure represents death from cholera. He stalked silently ahead of the floats. The bewhiskered man represents a citizen of Foochow who has made a study of the causes of cholera and the methods of preventions. He associates with cholera but is not afraid of him." [now Fuzhou] Two people are in costumes for a parade to educate the public about sanitation issues.
