Kursus for ledende/undervisende sygeplejersker, Aarhus Universitet, 1957-58. Arbejde i Danmark: Menighedsplejen i Holbæk samt Kirkens Korshær, 1944-46. Udsendt af DMS til Kina, sprogstudier i USA og Peking/Beijing, 1946-47. Sygeplejerske på hospitaler i Kina, 1948-49, hvor missionærer måtte forlade landet efter overgang til kommunistisk styre. Herefter blev søster Kirsten Marie overflyttet til Tanganyika/Tanzania – til ny sproglæsning. Arbejdsområder: Ndolage Hospital som sygeplejerske og senere oversygeplejerske fra 1955-67. Leder af Ndolage Sygeplejeskole fra 1967-79, hvor hun vendte hjem pga. sygdom og døde på SLS, december 1979

Kirsten Marie Mogensen (1916-1979). Nurse and deaconess education, St. Luke's Foundation (SLS), 1935-42. Concecrated deaconess and member of the Deaconess Community until her death. Course at the Parish Folk High School "Marthabo", 1942-44. Later Course in Leadership and Teaching, Aarhus University, 1957-78. Assignments in Denmark: The Parish Aid in Holbæk and Danchurchsocial, 1944-46. Sent by DMS to China.Language studies in USA and Peking/Beijing, 1946-47. Nursing care at hospitals in China, 1948-49. Then the missionaries were forced to leave the country , after change to the communist regime. Sister Kirsten Marie was transferred to Tanganyika/Tanzania – for study of another language. Working areas: Ndolage Hospital as Nurse and later the Matron, 1955-67. Leader of the Ndolage School of Nursing and Midwifery, 1967-79. She returned to Denmark due to health problems, and died at SLS, December 1979.
