Description
Photograph of an aircraft assembly line, after 1950. Two men work on what appears to be the body of a small plane, atop an elevated area in the central foreground. In the background, one can see the bodies of several planes (which appear to be the Northrop F-89 Scorpions) still under construction, with those on the right sitting in rows without wings yet installed, and those on the left displaying wings. Each plane has a small stair leading up to it, which connects to an elevated platform. People in an assortment of activity can be seen in different areas of the factory.
