Description
Photograph was edited for publication purposes.
Hollywood Freeway traffic between Lankershim Boulevard and Vineland Avenue will be re-routed over temporary detours to permit linkage of a new 1-mile extension to the existing freeway. The $2,300,000 extension project is 80 per cent completed, and this is the final phase of the work. Photo shows the re-routing (heavy lines) of the construction phase that is taking place at Cahuenga Pass where a section of the Hollywood Freeway is being enlarged from four lanes to five lanes each way. Photo dated August 24, 1957.
