"1922 / Sunday pictorial review / Three decades ago there was little to distinguish the intersection of Wilshire and San Vicente boulevards. The motorist of that day, however, may remember approaching it with caution. He had to "stop, look and listen" for interurban cars on San Vicente whizzing toward West Los Angeles (then Sawtelle), Brentwood and Santa Monica. / February 22, 1953, Page 13" -- Examiner clipping attached to verso.
