Written on back: "Marion McCarthy, librarian, swabs up rain water which buckets and pans failed to catch at the Potrero Branch Public Library, 444 Connecticut-st. City Librarian Lawrence J. Clarke said the library, which served the entire Potrero District, would be closed and its books stowed until at least the end of the wet season.
