Description
Photograph showing two images of a trackless trolley in Laurel Canyon, Los Angeles, ca.1909. The top image shows the trolley bus out to the far right, connected by elaborate extensions to the cables above. Two men stand in front of it. A sign on the back of the bus reads "Fare 10¢". Trees and mountainous terrain are visible in the background. The bottom image is similar, save for the fact that the trolley is now pictured further to the left, and a maintenance tower has been rolled up to the cable above, on top of which a man stands. Three other men stand along the equipment on the ground. CHS-7177B: Singular photograph of the lower image in CHS-7177.
