Photograph caption dated October 29, 1956 reads, "Quinnon Johnston, Safeway store manager at 11650 Riverside Dr., North Hollywood, inspects safe shortly after two armed bandits wearing dark glasses took approximately $500 and fled. Robbery took place minutes before armored car arrived to pick up deposit. Customers were shopping when holdup took place."
