Two police officers, a marine recruiter, and two marines participate in a flag ceremony commemorating the centennial of the first raising of the American flag in Los Angeles. Twenty-five thousand people attended the event held on the steps of Los Angeles City Hall. Photograph dated August 13, 1946.
