Description
View 1 (2014-4890). West Antelope School has no openings on sides of prevailing winds because of sand storms. Kern Co. -- view 2 (2004-0465). Kern County Free Library gives specialized service to schools in every section of a county covering 8159 square miles -- view 3 (2014-4891). Opening of the packages of books at West Antelope school in the desert many miles from any railroad.
The West Antelope School District lasted from 1921 to 1946, succeeding the Domino School District. Schoolhouse was located in west end of Antelope Valley, 4 miles west of Willow Springs.
