This photograph is contained in one of two volumes by Dobbin titled "Album of San Francisco."
Date would have to be last half of 1902 or first half of 1903 since construction of the St. Francis Hotel has barely started and the Dewey Monument is not up yet.
Union Square from probably the roof of the City of Paris, looking northwest. Calvary and Congregational Churches visible. Nob Hill in distance on right. Geary Street on left, Post on right and Powell cutting across middle distance. Two United Railroads cable cars can be seen on Powell.
