Description
Photograph caption dated May 7, 1963 reads, "After Albie Pearson's double tied the score against Minnesota, 2-2, last night at Chavez Ravine, Angel fan Gypsy Boots - who lives in the woods near Griffith Park and munches nuts and berries - could stand it no longer. He climbed the screen behind home plate, posed for the Valley Times TODAY camera and then gave Andy Spagnola, owner of the Thistle Inn, a great big juicy hug. This is baseball as it affects normal, everyday Los Angeles Angel rooters." See images 00159189 through 00159191 for all photos in this series.
