Cutting of right of way of new railroad of Dolbeer & Carson Lumber Company in north fork of Elk River, Humboldt County, California. Cut is through 50-year old redwood and Douglas fir second growth. Piling in foreground is 10-14" at top, and 24" to 30" at the butts and 50' long. May 31, 1934. E. F
