Description
Elevated view of the Downey Block building with streetcar tracks and horse-drawn wagons in front. A sign can be seen for "Parker's Photograph Parlors" on the second floor, at far right. There is also a sign that reads "Chas. Jacoby" across the front awning. Part of the Temple Block is visible on the left.
Title transcribed from item. "Los Angeles No. 14" and "F. Parker, Photo. Southern California Views."--text on item. Date devised by cataloger based on approximate years photographer was located in Los Angeles (he arrived in 1878) - see Carl Mautz, Biographies of Western Photographers, page 130.
