Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph caption dated January 5, 1961 reads, "Lonely wash where 14-year-old North Hollywood girl was found slain. Group of children playing in wash found body." The article partially reads, "Mary Ann Pedrotta, 14, was going horseback riding that afternoon. Her father, Charles Pedrotta, 11252 Delano St., North Hollywood, dropped his pretty young daughter at the stables after taking her to lunch. That was the last time he saw her alive. At 4:30 p.m., a group of children playing in the wash found Mary Ann's body. First observers thought she had been shot. A coroner later found that the teenager had been stabbed nine times, with the wounds going deep into her body."; See images #00113592 through #00113593 for all photos in this series.
