The new Supreme Chief of the Lesotho, Bereng Seeiso and the English High Commissioner, Sir John Maud, on March 12th, 1960
March 12th, 1960 is a historic day in Basutoland, for three reasons : It is Basutoland's National Day
It's also the day when Bereng Seeiso, great-grandson of Moshesh, was presented as Supreme Chief of the Bassouto to the British government
It's finally the day when the new National council session opened.
