Photograph caption dated October 31, 1956 reads, "Lonely Mallard duck has been trying for two days to get a reply from stationary white stone duck in yard at 13026 Otsego St., Sherman Oaks, but indifferent albino friend maintains stony silence. Mrs. Al Sack first saw friendly Mallard when she heard quacking front yard and took double take. Now she doesn't know what to do about feathered guest."
