Photograph of an exterior view of the long adobe of Don Juan Abila in San Juan Capistrano, ca.1860-1905. Only known image (variously dated 1860's, 1884, 1905) of the adobe. Don Juan Abila is standing on the porch of the adobe leaning on the wooden rail. A group of six people stand and sit in front of the porch. From left to right, they are: Chanito Avila (standing little boy), Juan Abila, Melo Abila, Delfina Rodrigues de Abila, Don Chano Abila (eldest son of Don Juan Alfonso Yorba), Vicenta Avila (standing little girl). A horse-drawn carriage is parked next to the porch rail just behind them to their left.
