Description
Photograph of workers in the printing room and bindery of the Braille Institute of America, Incorporated, in December 1933. Workers at the braille plant stand around, carrying out a variety of tasks. At center, a woman lays paper out in piles on a table, while two other women work with paper in the same general area. A table in the foreground is stacked with thick book-like piles of paper, while boxes and parceled paper stand in the background. Several men work with the printing press machinery at right, while others mill about at left. In the background, one can see that more books and supplies are found in a second-story storage area of sorts, beneath which lies more equipment.
