Photograph caption dated August 1, 1956 reads, "Water is pumped at rate of 3,000 gallons per minute by this bank of pumps in lower left. These pumps are part of colling system for bearings. They are horizontal single-stage pumps driven by 200-horse-power motots, In all, plant uses 284, 000 gallons of water per minute for cooling purposes."
