Photograph dated August 9, 1988 shows two junior high school students working together to compete in the 100-meter trash scoop relay of the 1988 Los Angeles Clean Sweep Games at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. They are among 300 participants in the Clean and Green program of the Los Angeles Conservation Corps that began in July. Ten local winners will travel to Philadelphia to compete in the National Clean Sweep Games.
