Description
The Redevelopment Agency of Sacramento created the Sacramento Redevelopment report in December 1962 to document the agency's plans for redevelopment. The report includes a vision of the future of Sacramento from a 1959 forum, background information on the West End, detailed information on the Capitol Mall Project, the Capitol Mall extension, future projects of redevelopment, and maps of boundaries and land usage. The Capitol Mall Project section covers the financing of the project, the seven stages of the plan including acquisition, relocation, and demolition, and the new buildings and development that the project will build.
