Description
Photograph article dated April 28, 1960 reads, "Research Aid - Aircraft and missile models of the future begin "flying" in July at Lockheed California Division's new research center near Saugus. The installation is designed to simulate speeds up to 3,800 miles per hour, during which temperatures reach minus 300 degrees Farenheit [sic]."
