Description
This oral history recounts the life of an African American women born in Texas in 1897, moved to Sacramento, California, in 1917 where she would later go on to help found the Negro Women's Civic Improvement Society, serve as the NAACP chapter's first secretary, and was an active member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Oak Park.
