Description: In 1952, Marilyn had her appendix removed. She received greetings and flowers from well-wishers as she recovered from surgery at Los Angeles Cedars of Lebanon Hospital. This is one of the publicity photos of her recuperation which was released to the press. Photograph dated Wednesday, May 7, 1952.
