This was the scene on September 26, 1952, as the State Senate Fact-Finding Committee on un-American Activities launched a two-day "talk or else" probe into alleged infiltration of the City Housing Authority by communism. Sensational was the disclosure by the executive director of the $110,000,000 public housing program that he had received reports of subversive activities in the authority since 1941.
