Description
Photo shows officers loading a girl into a police car when they clashed with asserted "red" demonstrators at the plaza as William E. Foster, Communist party candidate for President, started to make a speech. Police with tear gas capsules dispersed a crowd of 4000 and took five men and three girls into custody. Photo dated: June 28, 1932.
