Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph article dated June 5, 1948 partially reads, "A horde of tiny toads, estimated at several millions, was at the peak of a cross-country migration today in Sylmar, north and northwest of San Fernando. Spreading out in a fan, with a front about three miles wide, the swarm of hopping creatures continued in a northeasterly direction from the San Fernando reservoir toward the mountains. Advance elements were in the vicinity of San Fernando road this morning."
