Description
Exterior view of a parade led by pipes and drums with regimental troops following behind, the bagpipers wear kilts. Two children walk along beside the soldiers. The image could be from the cantonment in Sialkot which was a frontier military station, the area having been annexed in 1849 after the Second Anglo-Sikh War. Sialkot was where the Church of Scotland attempted to establish their first Mission fielding the Punjab in 1857.
