Description
HMong story cloth (paj ntaub) made of blue fabric. The story (constructed of appliquéd fabric) depicts the escape from Laos during the Secret War. The imagery depicts villagers leaving behind their villages to traverse wild terrains, and cross the Mekong River to Thai refugee camps. The imagery is bordered by gray, white, and blue appliquéd motifs of mountains (rooj). Original title from SEACRC: HMong paj ntaub: Escape from Laos
