Photograph of Lincoln Beachey and Horace Kearny in flight at the Dominguez Hills Air Meet, 1912. The two aviators are in separate Curtiss biplanes that are both airborne and silhouetted against a cloudy sky. Both planes have tricycle landing gear and are flying to the left. A large crowd is gathered on the ground at left, and many of the people are standing near early-model automobiles. There is a man on a horse at the right side of the crowd.
