Photograph article dated October 22, 1962 partially reads, "The Charity Players have chosen 'Ragtime USA' as the theme for their 12th annual Mad Hatters' Ball. The event, which will feature comedian Jimmy Durante with talented members of the Charity Players, will be Nov. 3 in the Grand Ballroom of the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Social hour will begin at 7 p.m., followed by dinner, the entertainment and dancing to the music of Joe Moshay's orchestra. Proceeds will go to the Crippled Children's Society for use in the building of a dormitory at Camp Joan Meir at Zuma Beach, according to Mrs. Chester Doyle, chairman." Photograph caption reads, "'Ragtime USA' show participants rehearse one of their act - 'Hamming it up' are the Roger Crabbs, left, Woodland Hills, and Mrs. W. W. Meyer, Canoga Park."
