Photograph caption dated October 18, 1961 reads "Los Angeles County Fire Chief Keith E. Klinger shows County Supervisor Warren M. Dorn one of the 10 new compact fire engines which the county is putting into service in watershed areas, where their ability to maneuver will be valuable. Costing $9,000 apiece, the engines contain 400-gallon booster tanks, a pump capable of producing 300 gallons per minute, 2,500 feet of hose and carry 58 gallons of gasoline."
