This is side A of the sixth tape, from day two, of the annual Drucker Symposium of 1988. This recording covers questions and answers during a luncheon. Peter Drucker responds to the questions from attendees with contributions from Thomas Gladwin and Alex d'Arbeloff. The questions cover three themes -- globalization of businesses, future of the financial service industries, and general management. In response to these questions, Peter Drucker mentions the need to act swiftly to compete in global economy, life-long employment versus merit-based employment, having wiliness to learn and to change, being aware of competition and threats on financial management, having pay and compensation structure that create team works. Drucker makes reference to his experiences and managerial context of organizations in Japan. The question and answer continues to side B of the sixth tape.
