Divided back. Printed in United States. Postmarked San Jose, 2 February 1909, to Miss Reed, c/o James Hugrenin, Grass Valley, Nevada County, California. Message: San Jose Cal Feb 2nd 1909. Dear Miss Reed. I came from Parterville yesterday, have had quite a [illeg.] missing Rose, I thought of you many times and wished you was there to help me. I hope you have been well. Pardon me for not writing to you. I am so glad to hear that my darling Nellie is getting along nicely. I wih I could be [illeg.] little Grace. I left [illeg.] Love Mrs. Smith.
