Dear Miss Reed. I came from Parterville yesterday, have had quite a [illeg.] missing Rose, I thought of you many times and wished you was there to help me. I hope you have been well. Pardon me for not writing to you. I am so glad to hear that my darling Nellie is getting along nicely. I wih I could be [illeg.] little Grace. I left [illeg.] Love Mrs. Smith.
