Description
Photograph of floodwaters at 1801 West Washington Boulevard, showing a warehouse selling repossessed automobiles, 1932. Just to the left of center, the one-story Finance Company Warehouse building is shown, bearing a sign that reads "Repossessed cars sold here". Farther right, a building made of darker brick bears the sign "Garage". Parked in front of the warehouse, several cars flounder in the water that rises to half their tire's height. The flood resulted from heavy rains.
