Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the first Jewish Synagogue in Los Angeles, located at 214 Fort Street between Second and Third Streets, ca.1880. The large, rectangular, brick building resembles a Gothic cathedral. Its façade, at left, has several large spires. Over the arched doorway is a circular window embossed with the Star of David. A tall spire also bears the six-pointed star. There are three small trees in the foreground at left, and a fenced-in yard at right.
