Description
No old shelf mark. A key for vowel sounds gives a clue to pronunciation of the Iroquois words. Many of these were modified and adopted as place names, now entirely unpronounceable to anyone not from upstate New York. This map was part of League of the Ho-dé-no-sau-nee, or, Iroquois, by Lewis Henry Morgan, RB 94637. Prime meridian: GM. Relief: hachures. Projection: Cylindrical. Printing Process: Lithography.
