Charles Handy thought for the day on the necessity and benefit of teams of individual talents in organizations. Handy begins the thought discussing the U.S. presidential election and the way that it presents a kind of pretense to viewers that one of the two candidates will run the country alone. He proceeds to talk about how teams need people of all types and talents, and that this fact may present a problem for leaders that have to choose a team, but presents good news for the rest of society because lots of mixes of different people with various talents means room for all individual differences. Handy closes the thought discussing how, in moments of doubt, he draws comfort from his biblical readings.
