Photograph was edited for publication purposes; Photograph was also used in an article dated January 23, 1962 Photograph article dated January 22, 1962 partially reads, "Homeowners along Wilkinson street in North Hollywood are seeking an ordinance that would prevent construction of buildings 'with no regard for the safety of pedestrians.' Don Duitz, representing Wilkinson avenue homeowners, has sent letters to Mayor Samuel W. Yorty and 1st District Councilman Everett Burkhalter pointing out that newly-constructed buildings in his area are blocking existing and proposed sidewalk areas. An apartment house has been built on the corner of Whitsett avenue and Erwin street, Duitz pointed out, 'making a narrow street for cars and no room for sidewalks.'"
