Photograph of a trestle supporting a San Diego flume that brought water to the city, 1888. Five levels of scaffolding are visible, extending from the right foreground to the left background. Through the structure, mountains and what appears to be water can be seen in the distance.
The high trestle was completed in 1888
it as 1700 feet long, and 85 feet high. It was part of the Cuyamaca Water Company. Flume.
