Title supplied by cataloger. E. Brooks Pemberton examines shattered glass that protects his television tube. Pemberton believes it is part of the same phenomenon which has shattered windshields of cars in other parts of the country. He says he unplugged the television set Tuesday and when he returned 18 hours later found the glass shattered entirely throughout. He is at a loss to explain it and says that heat could not have caused it because he looked at the set several hours after it had been turned off and it had not been broken then. The apartment doors had been locked. Pemberton, who operates a downtown employment agency with his wife, Aline, lives at 4700 Los Feliz Boulevard. Photograph dated October 5, 1954.
