Description
Bust-length portrait. 2013-0412. Mary Roberts was born in 1860 in Indiana. She was educated at Cornell University, received a Ph.D. from Stanford University. Beginning in 1896, she taught economics and sociology at Stanford University, first as assistant professor, then associate professor. She worked for the Carnegie Institute of Washington, D.C., in the South Park Settlement (San Francisco). She died in 1945.
