Photograph caption dated October 28, 1960 reads, "Father Matthew, O. Carm., principal of Crespi High School, surveys the grounds of the Crespi Festival, Friday through Sunday, on the school grounds on Alonzo boulevard, one block south of Ventura boulevard, Encino. With Father Matthew is Mrs. Harry Welch, while Mrs. Franklin Gaskins checks the new ferris wheel."
