Description
Photograph of a group of readers in the library of the Jewish Alliance, ca.1900. There are eleven people in the library, including three women and eight men. Most of them are reading, although two men in the background are playing checkers. The room is not very big, and there is a large wooden table at center, around which six people are gathered. There are bookshelves on the wall at center and at right, and a white wooden door at left. A large trophy rests on a shelf in the corner of the room.
