Description
Photograph of a view of Marchessault Street in Los Angeles's Chinatown, looking towards Alameda Street, [s.d.]. Marchessault runs from the foreground at right towards the background at left. It is lined with brick buildings and concrete sidewalks. Overhangs protrude from the buildings and cover the sidewalks. Several early automobiles can be seen parked along the side of the road. A sign in the background advertises chop suey from the roof of a three-story building. Utility poles run parallel to the road at right.
