Description: The end of the journey. Mrs. Nelson safely reaches Rancho Los Amigos Hospital on March 14, 1949, after a 24-minute, 13-mile trip. She is shown in an iron lung in the foreground with other polio victims who were removed from General Hospital in the same convoy.
