Photograph of a lithograph from Norton's 1913 book "Story of California" depicting Monterey from the bay, [s.d.]. The city is at center and is mostly composed of small buildings and houses on a bluff at right is a large two-story building with a balcony. Three flag poles are visible, although only the one on the left has a flag flying. There is a mountain range in the background, and the bay is visible in the foreground. At center is a small row boat with two men in it. Published 1913.
