Description
Photograph of trash strewn behind a gated building in old Chinatown, 1939. The damaged, wooden building stands along the right side with several large openings along its front wall. The openings reveal the brick walls within the dark shadows of the building's interior. Large slabs of wood and damaged boxes are scattered across the pavement in front of the building. Among the trash, large, wicker baskets sit in front of the each opening. A small, wooden gate stands in a brick wall in the background on the far left.
