Aerial view of the California Malting Company plant, also known as CalMalt, located at 5945 S. Malt Avenue in the city of Commerce; view is looking southwest. Malt Avenue is visible in the forefront, lower left, and the (5) Santa Ana Freeway can be seen far in the background, horizontally at the top. In 1960, Great Western Malting and California Malting merged, creating a new company called Great Western Malting Co., with malt plants in Vancouver, Washington, and Los Angeles. Photographed for Froedtert Malt Corp. on February 17, 1956.
